property completely enveloped by the tourist zone

a word of thanks to all our supporters

The identity of the Tolzac Valley is at stake, a real estate project for tourist purposes will change the Tolzac Valley environment

Bad news:
the decision by the préfet (dated 03-11-2008) was to approve the carte communale, without taking into account any restraint or reserve as stated by the "commissaire enqueteur".

The final vote, before sending the report on to the prefecture, by the council of Pinel, did not take into account any of the reserves stated.
So, the whole procedure of the enquête publique was worthless, a farce, since they just did exactly what they want without any regard whatsoever about the letters of complaint and the situation of the immediate neighbor

Report and Opinion of the Public Enquiry

The folder with the opinions expressed and all the observations
is consultable at the mairie of Pinel

Observation:
Why have 44 lettres with un unfavorable opinion about the project been classified as being "without opinion" ??

  • Changing the destination of land from agricultural to constructable in the middle of a beautiful countryside is inacceptable outside of village zoning (real estate speculation?)

  • 2 Properties situated immediately above the planned project will lose their independance, since their unique acces, a communal property country lane will be encompassed in the planned tourist leisure project

  • The project plans 6 chalets type "Tobacco Dryer" (height 6.5m), 9 wooden caravans and a restaurant with a parking for 50 cars

  • The disfigurement of the hillside of this part of the Tolzac Valley and in general the depreciation from a natural, environmental and property wise view, is evident

  • The tourist rental market is already saturated.
Owners of B&B's and vacation houses express their anxiety concerning this possible degradation of the attractiveness, the tranquility and the strictly rural aspect of our area

  • A tourist leisure zone, with concentrated tourism will give rise to noise pollution, especially in a valley where noise travels far, insecurity on our small roads without any respect for the residents and the surrounding properties and degradation of the quality of life
